Why My Fascination With Gold, and The Gold Refiner

gold refinerMy mother has always had a fascination with gold, and as a result so have I. Not to say that I didn’t watch in disgust as a child when she cooed over a new ring or bracelet my father had given her. She’d bargain with the gold refinery for a new piece jewelry and I couldn’t understand what was so important about this metal, what made her want to spend so much time looking at, touching, and thinking about it. But as I grew up I began to understand why gold.

I just like the color of it and how it throws back the light at you. How it’s soft and malleable and it’s unique and rare and its history, how people, such as myself, have become obsessed with it.

If I could take a trip to a gold refiner and see all the gold they have I might blow a gasket. I understand that gold is at an all time peak right now and if you want to trade yours in and get a thick wad of cash it’s a pretty good time, but jeez, the little gold I have I want to hold onto until the day I die.

Gold Refiners Going Up!

This week, as the United States dollar once again decreased in value, gold once again went up. This has been the trend for quite some time now, and at the moment it seems to show no signs of letting up.
